Lilia Sablina is a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations at the Central European University (CEU) (Austria). Her research interests include the study of the role that social media play in co- and re-constructing the practices of nationhood; digital authoritarianism and its varieties, as well as Russian misinformation and disinformation strategies in Germany. She is also an author of several publications in the field of nationalism studies; among the recent ones is “We Should Stop the Islamisation of Europe!”: Islamophobia and Right-Wing Radicalism of the Russian-Speaking Internet Users in Germany” (2021) published in the Nationalities Papers. She is also a recipient of the Association for the Study of Nationalities Best Doctoral Paper Award (2022).
